FAQ's
1. How does it work?
Using M&K Tire is much like getting your windshield replaced. Most people wouldn't dream of going into a shop for this. Why would you? Considering they can come right to you at home or work. The same convenience is available when you need your tires replaced. We come to you at home, work or wherever and install your new tires.

2. What is the fee for coming out?
We don't have an extra charge to come to you. How is this possible? We don't have the overhead expenses that go along with having a building and property. Such as heating and cooling the building, electricity, building and grounds maintenance, snow plowing etc. So we are able to offer very competitive pricing and still come to you.

3. What do you need from me to get started?
For Tires -
We will need your tire size, vehicle year, make and model. We will then send you over some suggested tires along with our out the door pricing. That way there's no surprises when it comes time to pay the bill. You can call, text or email us. Or, you can shop on our website. You can select the tires you would like to purchase and also go through the checkout and appointment process.

For Wheels -
If you're also looking for wheels, the best way to shop for those is to use our website and search by your vehicle. This way you will be shopping for wheels that will fit your vehicle. With so many wheel choices, I've found it's best to let the customer see the options/styles for themselves. And then they can decide which wheels they like.

4. What areas do you service?
You can check our map on the "Contact Us" to see our entire service area. We service the greater twin cities metro area and the St Cloud area.

5. How much room do you need?
We don't need much room. About 3 feet around the vehicle is all we really need. If at work, we do ask that you park in a more open area if possible. Sometimes we will move the vehicle to the street if this will work better. Sometimes we need to get creative but we always find a way to make it work.
6. What if I park in a ramp?
Unfortunately our van is too tall to fit into ramps. So we would need to do it in a parking lot or street.

7. What if it's raining, snowing or it's cold outside?
We work in rain, snow and down to about zero degrees. We are only outside for a short period to remove and install the wheels. Most of the time is spent inside the van out of the elements. And the van is heated.

8. Do you balance the tires?
I get asked this question a lot. Yes we do. We use the same type of computerized spin balancer that you will find in any tire shop.

9. How long does the install take?
I tell people to allow 2 hours for the install. It doesn't always take the full 2 hours but sometimes it can. Our top priority is doing the job right the first time. We are not in a rush to install your tires. We don't cut any corners. We don't have a waiting room full of people lined up so we can take the time to do the job right the first time. We will give you a 1 hour ETA window so you will have a good idea of when to expect us.

10. How do you jack up the vehicle?
In most cases we lift one wheel off the ground at a time. We do not use floor jacks. Floor jack wheels are notorious for sinking into tar driveways and parking lots. The jacks we use have a large flat steel base. They never leave a mark in driveways or parking lots.

11. What size tires can you do?
We can do tires from a 10" rim diameter up to 24"rim diameters. And up to 37" tire diameters.

12. Do you do 14.5", 19.5" or 22.5" tires?
Sorry we do not.

13. Do you do skid steer tires?
Sorry we do not.

14. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Venmo. We also offer a discount for cash.

15. What if I already have tires? Do you install them?
We will install new tires that you have as long as they are the proper load & speed rating and are no older than 5 years old. We do not install customers used tires. Summer/Winter tire switches are the exception to this.

16. Do you do alignments?
Sorry we do not. Alignments are something separate from tire installation. It has to do with adjusting the suspension and steering angles. When we remove your old tires we will inform you if your vehicle looks to be out of alignment. Your old tires will normally show irregular tire wear if your alignment is off. We also check for movement caused by worn out steering and suspension components.
